Negative FX Remixed Group Show 2009

Here's my submission to the Remixed group show curated by the Lehigh Valley Artist Network . The negative FX Lp has always been a favorite in my collection, but I kind of felt that the simple high contrast image of Charles Manson was slightly uninspired. I didn't really want to change it much, seeing as so many people that are familiar with the album art associate it with Manson's huge face. I wanted to add some militant-esq iconography in the form of camouflage to my rendition of the cover. A subtle hint at the militant and ferocious music and lyrics that accompany a look and listen to this HXC masterpiece.

Homebase window banner

Did a quick banner for Homebase last weekend. Whipped it out in about a half hour. I got a chance to use some Molotow Empty markers, which work really well with almost any ink you put in them. I recommend.

The finished banner in the window.
The pink ink was loaded into the empty marker, looks bright.

My bag of tricks.

Atari Prints

I did some art a while back for a double reunion Hardcore show. Tom from Bird Apt. printing screened two different versions of a poster I illustrated for the show.

Original color scheme.
Bird Apt. color scheme (limited to 35).
The original Pen & Ink drawing from 2004. I think there are a few of the the second color scheme prints available, get in touch if you want to get one.

Food Fight Mural

Yeah, this post could be considered more than a few months late. It's going on six months since I actually painted this, but I'm ready to finally post about this. See six months ago the friendly people at Food Fight flew me out to sunny Portland Oregon to paint them a mural.

The installed mural is 24x6 feet of angry vegetables and dejected, defeated McDonalds mascots. The following pictures are the result of 3 days straight painting. Special thanks to VMaas, who helped me with a lot on that project.

The final installed mural. Fucking large.

A couple in-action shots. This was some of the hardest work I've done on a piece of art. Didn't even seem like it since I was chilling with Dave. Just seemed like the typical clowning, but we painted a mural at the same time.

Original ultra sketchy pencils.
Original inks.

Some revisions were done due to the clients, "Animal Rights" agenda. The Birdy character was swapped out for the Fry Guys.
Veggie pencils.
Veggie inks.
Originally their was going to be a McDonalds burning in "Hell". Scrapped that.
